Dear The Layered Pancake,

...Because you're a "face" girl!!!

Ian Somerhalder. The only vampire who I find hot (and not gay!)
He looks so, I don't know..fresh but still tough. There is something so attractive and irresistable about a man who looks like sunshine

I love him so much that I am okay with watching Vampires(eew!) Just for him.

I wish I were a Jeannie...

...Not because I'd get to have my heart's desire by just a tiny nod of my head.

Not even because I'd get to romance an astronaut.(An AUSTRONAUT!! It is obviously one of the most exciting professions, right after a rocket scientist and romance novelist, and to think he might even take me along on one of his excursions!!!)

But because, I'd get to live in a gorgeous stone studded purple house, erm bottle like this.

And not to mention I could change the shape of my body as the situation desires, read people's mind and have the world work just as I like it!!

Sigh.

Oh, shut up.

Patti, whoever the hell you are, Who gave you the right to comment on someone's sexuality and life choice? Does any one tell YOU what to do, who to sleep with, who to love? No, right? Then how did you assume this responsibility, may I ask?

The whole hype on homosexuality drives me to the edge. What is the big deal? If you thing that something is disgusting, is not for you, then DON'T DO IT. But neither is there any need for you to condemn the people who do. I don't eat meat, but I don't go around criticizing the people who do. Can you imagine the love homosexuals must have for themselves and each other? How easily they agree to be the subject of international and familial scorn, for the sake of each other. Can you imagine that kind of love? Do we all, in straight or "normal" relationships, have that kind of support? Can we expect our partner to be with us, no matter who says what? We don't allow them to wed saying that will shame the name of marriage, change the defination of marriage. But haven't we already shamed the name of marriage? More than 50 thousand woman have lined up to marry a man who has been the subject of national news for the usgae of drugs and wife abuse, A man who has not been able to carry out a single decent relationship in his life, ON NATIONAL TV.This is what we have reduced marriage to.
I can only envy those men or women who have found such pure love with each other, such devotion, such affection. I sincerely hope, like Senator Diane J. Savino said,
that WE learn from THEM, rather than THEY learning from US.

Sexy 9.0

Did you too stop breathing?
Definitely deserves a place near the words irresistable, delicious and sexy in the dictionary.

Some of this. Some of that.

I hate growing up.
I hate what the world does to me.
I hate how they take away the magic
of small things that mean so much to me.
In one word.One thought.
I hate the cynic I'm becoming.
I hate how this is the only way I'd survive.
I hate being the practical prissy life needs me to be and
I learn to be so easily.
I hate how they throttle my fables
and daydreams
and I know they're wrong.
Call me an ignorant fool.
Atleast I've tasted bliss in my head.
Felt pure joy and pain and hurt.
In those moments I've truly lived.
Free fall.
You'd never know.
You wear your masks and thinking caps all the time.
You live your half hearted lives and rejoice.
Kudos.
You'll never know what it's like.
The hurt too,is bliss itself.
And I'd do it again.
Get hurt all over again.
To feel one high.
To live one half of my fairy tale.
To play the princess again , even if it's only in my mind.
One moment.
Bring it on then.
Give me your best shot.

But amongst all the rant, I LOVE this :

Marc Jacobs. I absolutely love his stuff. He manages to give his creations a look of both elegance and funkiness. Rare talent. Another brand I love would be Valentino.
Though I must confess, more than a little bit only for the name. Doesnt it have a wonderful ring to it?

An explanation of sorts.

Although I had already begun reading Emma, when my courier consisting Pride and Prejudice arrived, I could hardly resist. The later being Austen's most coveted book and all that, but mostly to satisfy my curiosity about the big deal that is Mr Darcy. I was confident that the charm of Mr Darcy has been exaggerated beyond and above, and that Mr Knightley's position in my dreams would remain. Whatever I expected or didnt expect, was however a moot point, because bowled over as I was by him, it was Elizabeth Bennet who caused me in finishing the book a mere 4-5 hrs after I had started it.
The world is rarely, if ever, black and white. It blends quite marveously in grey. So then, I can't ever understand the need of authors and directors to make one either a incarnation of God or of Satan. Its just not fair and its not at all realistic. Why can't a good person have evil or selfish motives? Why is a person with selfish motives decidely evil? Characterisation, for me is the most important aspect of novels and movies. I like knowing what the protaganists are all about. I like that I cannot judge them or group them into stereotypes, but love them because really they're only human.I also like being more, more than what people expect but mostly more than what I expect out of my self. The nicest thing is to be able to surpirse oneself. Which is why I love Elizabeth Bennet (and Penelope Bridgerton, if youre a Julia Quinn fan!)
She knows what she is. She knows that she's much better than what Mr Darcy first dubbed her as ("not pretty enough to tempt me"), knows that she's much more prettier and civilized than what Miss Bingley and that other married sister give her credit for, knows that she is not a commodity for sale as her mother would like her to beleive. But still does not feel the need to show it all the time, but beither does she hesitate to flaunt it when she needs to. And mostly, she is loyal to a fault. Sure she has too many airs, too many prejudices herself but seriously who doesn't?
I do love Mr Darcy, but I also think that Mr Darcy is what he is because of Elizabeth. There would have been no need to write such a strong character if the heroine was a whimsical silly shit. But Mr Darcy had to be strong, had to be proud, had to be too irrestiable to even dream of resisting, because you cannot lead Elizabeth Bennet where she does not want to be lead. And that is what I love about her the most. And that is why I choose to sign of my posts under the pseudonym Elizabethbennet.

A lot of love and thanks to The layered pancake(Its not getting tagged!)for coming up with "The purple typewriter" and for doing up this blog. Its very pretty!!
And yes, we will be blog buddies :D
