Because I am grateful for color.

I have to admit, my love for make up stems partly from the fact that it is supremely colorful and comes packed in beautiful little delicate packages. When I see something I like, I immediately think of how it'll look clustered with all my other stuff on my oh-so pretty dressing table. I love walking into shops like M.A.C , Inglot, Dior, YSL where they have walls and walls lined up with one fancy product after the other. Maybe one lady sitting for a make over, small girls hovering around the lipsticks , trying it on and doing a horrible yet adorable job of it. Some trying to find the exact shade of their skin for foundation, which pretty much defeats the purpose or some just like me, for the juicy lip balms and kajal sticks, but mostly for the whole experience. It just highlights my senses in a weird, automated way. I want to feel pretty, I want to feel desirable, and then, just like that I do.

I love eye make up! And I love every product made for the eye, be it kajal which is ofcourse my most favourite product, or mascara or eye shadow. Anything at all! If your eye make up is well done, then just by that, chances are that you're going to be turned out okay.

Inglot has some fabulous new products, such as the eyeliner gel. It is definitely worth a buy. It is very smooth and hardly smudges and stays put for what seems like an eternity. Plus they have it in some delicious shades.

I love red lipstick. Not the red which has pink in it or mauve, which is usually the case. But bright red lipstick. And the deal with this is that it suits everyone, who has the guts to carry to it. You will hardly find anyone who does not do justice to red lipstick, because if she has the courage to wear it, she'll wear it fabulously. No wonder then it is women like Penelope Cruz, Amy Winehouse, Scarlett Johansson who have made red lips so sexy. And ofcourse Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, who can't be mentioned in the previous sentence, as nobody ever has and ever will be able to come into their league. Like everything else they stand for, they own the red lips too.

"Let them eat cake"

I can watch this movie twice in a go. Once for the love of good cinema, history, queens, royalty and witty dialogues, and the second time in mute. For the fashion, the dresses, the shoes, the make up, the cake, the sets, the extravagance, the floral prints. I am completely obsessing over all of the above, especially the pastel colours, and the shoes! Ofcourse, the shoes!

Before watching the movie I was of the opinion that Keira Knightley would have made a better "Dauphine of France", but I was wrong. Kirsten Dunst plays the role, she was born to, as Marie Antoinette, the Austrian Princess married off to Louis XVI. She does more for the movie than the screenplay which often looses out and fails to be historically accurate quite a lot. That sort of ruined it for me. But the movie nevertheless is a good watch. Jason Schwartzman is interesting, but does not hold a candle to Dunst. Who with her innocence, beauty, regal charm, brilliant dialogue delivery clearly steals the show. She, though is in great competition with Milena Canonera and Veronique Melery who have excelled themselves as the costume designer and the set decorator respectively.

Surely, Veronique Melery, would not mind doing up my house? A tip though, keep lots of cake and pastries in the refrigerator while seeing this movie. You'll need them.

Fav Moments - I

"I'll have what she's having" Haha. Meg Ryan is amazing, almost orgasmic.


Legally Blonde, Court scene. I feel the triumph as if it's my own.


I can watch this movie a hundred times on repeat, just for this scene.


As opposed to every one's favourite scene where Anna says "I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her", this is my favourite scene, although that is a lovely moment! Oh, and I love the way Spike tells William "You daft prick" when he rejects Anna!

The one thing which I really really liked about Clueless (No, not Paul Rudd or Alicia Silverstone, though they are very pretty and lovable people)is how the movie is such an easy adaptation of Emma. Aunt Jane would have been proud. It doesn't make a very obvious and explicit effort and thats why succeeds.
And that is exactly what I didn't find with "Ten things I hate about you". Even someone who has not read The Taming of the Shrew can easily tell that it must be inspired by one of Shakespeare's work, what with the ball, some of the attire and the use of quotations. And also, I found the taming(by Heath Ledger)of the shrew(Julia Stiles)too smoothly done.

But having said that I love witty banter, beautiful people prancing aroud, Joseph Gordon-Levitt speaking french, Heath Ledger dancing to Can't take my eyes off you and the chemistry between Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger, So "Ten things..." worked for me, today for the 50th time.
